Your purpose is found in what attracts your attention, what you do effortlessly, and what is going on in the moment. Being on purpose is being present in each moment.Life purpose is not a job title! You may have taken birth to develop a characteristic like tolerance, compassion, openness, integrity, perseverance, or forgiveness. You may have taken birth to work out some unresolved business with a mate, parent, or offspring.
Write these ideas on index cards and keep with you!
- My persistent ideas are pieces of my life purpose.
- My first impressions are usually right.
- I want to be clearly shown my next step.
- I take small steps to develop my ideas.
- Each morning I ask to meet helpful people.
- Everyone has a message for me.
- My life purpose is always attracting exactly what I need.
- I remember to be patient. I am relaxed without procrastinating.
- I go where the energy and people are positive.
- I look for the purpose in any delay or obstacle.
- I let go of things where I am just putting in time.
- I aim my genius at a world problem.
- I focus on giving service and having fun each day. This attracts good luck.
Aim your genius at a problem that attracts you. You are already unique because of your natural talents, tendencies, viewpoint, and experiences. You give yourself to others and the world.
Typically, we sabotage ourselves by:
- Accepting our "lot" in life as final.
- Holding on to grudges and resentments.
- Thinking we are a "victim of circumstances."
- Blaming others. Waiting for others to change.
- Too much planning and control.
- Refusing to see the purpose in obstacles.
- Believing that we are trapped, inadequate, or powerless.
